How much are adjustable beds?

Please choose an option below, fill in your details and we will get back to you.

Because every product we sell is customised according to the needs of the individual customer, it’s impossible to display a definitive list of adjustable bed prices on our website.

There are also many additional features that can affect the cost of an adjustable bed, such as Cyclo-Therapy. For these reasons, it would be misleading to show adjustable bed prices on the website. To give you a rough idea of the cost of an adjustable bed, our adjustable beds (without our unique NHC Cyclo-Therapy massage system) start at £699.

Cheap adjustable beds – are they worth it?

The cost of an adjustable bed can be as little as £399 or as much as £7,999. That’s a huge difference, so it’s important to understand the factors impacting adjustable bed prices before deciding whether or not a cheap adjustable bed is worth buying.

As mentioned previously, there are many add-ons that can affect the price of an adjustable bed but there are other factors too, which include:

  • Size
  • Mattress
  • Quality

Why size affects the cost of adjustable beds

This is one of the most important factors affecting the cost of an adjustable bed. Cheap adjustable beds are usually smaller, offering little space or comfort. Although bigger adjustable beds may cost more, they are also likely to offer you better comfort based on your needs.

A cheap adjustable bed may not come with a mattress

Some companies advertising cheap adjustable beds display £399 as their starting price. However, this is the price for the bed frame only. By contrast, the price of every Adjustamatic adjustable bed includes an Airflow® mattress, specifically designed and manufactured for use with adjustable beds.

Quality adjustable beds will naturally cost more

There are two different types of bed base for an adjustable bed: solid and slatted.

A slatted bed base is more common in cheap adjustable beds. Over time the slats in this kind of bed base can move from their original position, creating gaps. When this happens, your mattress will fall slightly between the gaps creating an uneven and uncomfortable surface.

Our Majestic adjustable bed comes with a slatted bed base, but is specially designed to get the most out of your adjustable bed frame and mattress.

A solid bed base might increase the cost of an adjustable bed, but it will give your adjustable bed a longer life expectancy and your body will be consistently supported for long-term comfort.

We also stock adjustable beds with a solid base, such as our Elite adjustable bed.

How to spread the cost of an adjustable bed

Although cheap adjustable beds might offer a short-term solution remember, an adjustable bed should be regarded as a long-term investment and a good quality one with a solid base and mattress will not be cheap.

Look for companies that offer finance options such as interest-free credit to make the purchase more manageable. At Adjustamatic, we offer a 0% finance option to enable you to spread the cost of such an important purchase in a way that suits your budget.

Check if you are eligible for VAT exemption

If you are buying an adjustable bed for use at home, you could be eligible for VAT exemption. This could allow you to make considerable savings of 20% – meaning a bed worth £2,000 could cost you just £1,600!

Graham thinks his bed is worth every penny

The bed is absolutely worth its weight in Gold, it’s worth every penny and I wish I had bought one 18 months ago.

My pain level has already reduced by at least 50% as well as sleeping properly, I felt so much better in the day and have started to swim recently.

You get what you pay for and I’m glad I bought the best.

– Graham Cottrell, Adjustamatic customer
