There are many successful manufacturers and retailers in the UK, offering consumers plenty of scope for finding the solution that is right for them. This September, the best in the industry will have their chance to bask in the limelight, at the Bed Show 2014 Industry Awards.
Rewarding the ‘best in class’
The awards are organised by the National Bed Federation and held at the annual Bed Show at Telford International Centre. This will be the fourth time that the awards have taken place, with a number of categories open to entries. According to the organisers, the awards are a chance to, “recognise the excellent work of bed manufacturers, suppliers and retailers over the past 12-18 months.”
Entries are open until August 1st, and the judges are said to be looking for companies that have excelled over the past year. This may be with reference to turnover and sales boosts, or it may be related to marketing campaigns, accreditations or other factors. Entrants are asked to submit any supporting information that they feel backs up the entry. The five categories open for entries are:
· Manufacturer of the Year
· Component Supplier of the Year
· Independent Retailer of the Year
· Multiple Retailer of the Year
· E-tailer of the year
The winners in each category will be chosen by a panel of judges, including Paul Farley, editor of Furniture News, and Jessica Alexander, the National Bed Federation’s executive director. The awards will be announced at the 2014 Gala Dinner, which is hosted by Jeremy Vine on September 23rd.

The 2014 Bed Show
The annual Bed Show takes place on September 23rd and 24th, and brings together all those involved in manufacture, sale and purchase. This year there are expected to be more than 70 exhibitors, each of them members of the National Bed Federation. For manufacturers it is a chance to show off what they have to offer, while for retailers it represents an opportunity to find new suppliers and network in a trade setting.
